It was rainy and 57 degrees as we drove 145 miles to Hinton, AB via the Trans Canada Highway 16. We experienced low hanging clouds throughout most of the drive. Clouds do change the scenery and make good photos.
As we make our return to the USA, we are retracing our tracks and will be seeing the same things that we saw earlier on our trip. A quick driving break at Mt Robson and we were on our way towards Jasper National Park.
At the town of Jasper, we turned and drove towards Hinton, AB. Hinton is 50 miles NE of Jasper and just outside of Jasper National Park. Somewhere we have never been! AS we made the turn towards Hinton, we drove along the Athabasca River and began to see more of the burn areas from last year’s devastating fire.
We arrived at our destination, Hinton/Jasper KOA, and checked in for our 3 night stay. The forecasted rain throughout out stay was not what we ordered!
