Today we left Cranbrook BC at 11 AM. It was rainy and 57 degrees. Not very good weather for traveling to the USA. We only had to drive 70 miles so the weather was not really a factor.

As we approached the border crossing there were five vehicles ahead of us. It appeared that they had pulled one RV and one car over to the side for further inspection. We were thinking that maybe today we would get searched. The vehicles directly in front of us moved on through and then we given the green light to move up. The border agent asked for our passports and if we had been to Alaska. Ken briefly told him our sad engine story and he handed us our passports and told us to “Have a nice day”! He even left his booth to move a barrier so we could proceed around the other vehicles that had been stopped. So quick and easy! On the other side of the road, there was a long line of cars waiting to cross the border to Canada. I counted 100 cars and more were still arriving. How long will it take for them to get across the border? I read that delays entering Canada could be as long as 3-4 hours. We were fortunate not to experience the long line when we crossed in June.

We continued a few miles down the road to our destination, Indian Springs RV Resort. We stayed at this same resort 5 weeks ago. We have reservations for 1 week as we wait for our Yellowstone reservation. What will we find to do for the week?
