We drove through several heavy rainstorms on our way to Summerfield, FL. We arrived in mid afternoon at the Southern Oaks RV Resort which is located across the highway from our Pittsburgh friends, Dick and Liz Geitgey.
Dick and Liz took us to dinner at Cody’s Original Roadhouse in The Villages Lake Sumter Landing. It was a fun, casual, popular place serving “just plain good food”. We arrived in time for 2 for 2 happy hour – my frozen raspberry margarita hit the spot..however, I didn’t need 2 of them! After dinner we walked around the Sumter Landing Square and enjoyed being in the center of the action in The Villages!
The next day, Dick and Liz invited us to attend an Organ Recital! Apparently, Organ playing is very popular in their circle of friends. Ken is not much of a music man, but I loved it! Listening to the organ music made me miss my Clavinova! Later we had a fabulous dinner at Dick and Liz’s house with some of their friends. We had a great time visiting and making new friends!
