New Hampshire

It was raining as we left our campground in Maine to travel to New Hampshire.  Our destination was Sea Coast Camping and RV Resort in North Hampton, New Hampshire.

Our RV site was positioned across from a row of tent camping sites.  It was raining when we arrived and I was thankful that we weren’t camping in a tent.  Tents have sure changed a lot over the years and there was quite a variety of tents and tenters hoping for drier weather!

Our RV neighbors, New Hampshire residents, arrived in a brand new airstream trailer.  It was their shakedown trip to learn and work out the “bugs of their new trailer.  Since they knew the area, they recommended that we take a drive to Portsmouth, NH.

Seacoast Drive to Portsmouth, NH

It was very foggy as we toured the coast on our way to Portsmouth.

Portsmouth, NH

Portsmouth, New Hampshire is located on the Piscataqua River and borders the state of Maine. It’s the oldest settlement in NH, dating back to 1623. The architecture reflects over four centuries of history.

New Hampshire Coastal Drive

New Hampshire has the shortest ocean coastline in the nation…18 miles. We drove on the scenic byway overlooking the beaches and rocky shores. By the number of parked cars, we could tell that the beach is a popular destination for locals and visitors. We also love the beach, but, we would like to be able to see it!

Beautiful Homes on the New Hampshire Coast

On our return trip, we were in awe of some of the beautiful homes with ocean front property and gorgeous views.

We had a very relaxing stay in New Hampshire. I think the rest will help as tomorrow we arrive in the Boston area where we have a very full schedule
