We have been moving slowly north towards our destination over the last two days. We stopped at the Shady Acres RV Park in Green River, UT and Highline Trail RV Park in Boulder, WY.
It was sunny and 55 degrees when we left Green River, UT…Beautiful weather for traveling and sightseeing!
As we began traveling on highway 191 North, the road began to wind through mountain passes and canyons. The scenery included unique red, gray, and green rock formations. At the summit of 9100 feet we were rewarded with wide-open spaces and miles of unobstructed views.
In addition to the beautiful scenery, we passed several old cars traveling north towards Green River.

As we continued on highway 191, we entered the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area. We drove across The Flaming Gorge Dam that created the largest reservoir in Wyoming.

After a long day of driving, we checked into our RV Park, Highline Trail, for 2 nights.
Boulder, WY was a very small town with a population of 75 and 1 grocery store. A few miles north west a larger town, Pinedale…population 2000. With our list of suggested day trips in hand we headed for Pinedale. We decided to take the Skyline Drive 30 mile round trip from Pinedale.

The road was winding and narrow as it climbed from 7200 feet to 9400. We stopped at several turnouts and overlooks for views of Fremont Lake and the Wind River Range.
The Wind River Brewing Company was a great place to end our day.
