July 17
Located in New Brunswick on Canada’s eastern coast, St. Andrews by-the-Sea sits on the Bay of Fundy, an area famous for having some of the highest tides in the world. Tides in the Bay of Fundy can reach up to 30 feet high. We will see more of this in the next few days.
The area is rich in history too. Loyalists settled the town in 1783, making it one of the oldest towns in the province.
Rainy days and nights seem to be the norm on this trip. It was another rainy night. The rain came in waves – ligh, heavy, dounpour, stop, repeat….over and over again.
When we got up this morning it was high tide and exteremely foggy.
Despite the fog, We drove into the town, found a good parking spot, and walked both sides of Water Street, the main downtown area. We discovered lots of restaurants, but the town needs a good souvenir store! I did finally find a shirt and Magnet.

We walked out onto the wharf and looked at the boats; small boats, sail boats, whale watching tour boats, schooner, etc. At the end of the pier we could see fog hanging over the water and hillside. It looked amazingly beautiful!

On our way back to the RV and not far from our RV park, we spotted eleven deer! Two deer were grazing near the water and the other nine were resting across the street.

We returned to the RV for lunch…we finished off our leftovers from last night. The food was just as good today!
We noticed that the fog was disappering and the temp was almost warm. We placed our lawn chairs in front of the RV and sat watching the tide. After awhile, the air became chilly, so we retreated inside the RV where the view was just as good.
Later in the afternoon, we had lots of sunshine and it was time to go searching for a nearby lighthouse.
ST. ANDREWS (PENDLEBURY) LIGHTHOUSE Built in 1833, Pendlebury Lighthouse has lit the way for hundreds of vessels throughout history. It is the oldest remaining mainland lighthouse in New Brunswick. It is names for the family that tended the lighthouse for almost 100 years.

Afterwards, we drove around looking for some of the historic churches. How many Photos do I need of Churches? I think the old churches are beautiful and I have lots of photos!
