We left Shreveport early on June 10 and planned to stop for the night in Vicksburg or Jackson, MS. We couldn’t find any RV parks in either of those places so we continued the long drive to Mobile, AL. We don’t like to drive that many miles in one day, but occasionally we find ourselves on long stretches of highway without RV parks. In those situations, we stop every 2-3 hours and stretch!
When we left Mobile, AL, we had a short day’s drive to Navarre Beach, FL. Navarre is a beach community found just east of Pensacola and beckons with 12 miles of pristine white shoreline. This beach community offers solitude, simplicity, and pristine beaches. So… relaxation is the main attraction!
The Emerald Coast RV Park is our favorite park on the Emerald Coast…otherwise known as the Redneck Riviera!. We were excited that we were able to reserve the same space we had on our last visit in 2010. We stayed for three days and steps away from the Tiki Hut and private beach. We met lots of very nice people from Alabama, Texas, Tennessee, and our immediate neighbors were from Payson, AZ!
The RV park offers a nightly ice cream sundae bar and morning breakfast. We never made it to breakfast we did enjoy an Ice Cream Sundae! Yummy!
We spent our days on the beach and evenings with new friends! Life is Good!
