Today was a beautiful sunny day in Grand Junction, CO. The temperature was in the 90’s, but it was a great day for sightseeing.
Today we took the scenic Rim Rock Drive through the heart of the Colorado National Monument. Our journey started at the East Entrance in Grand Junction. The winding roadway meanders along rim of Monument Canyon, one of the grandest landscapes of the American West. We drove 25.9 miles through plateau and canyon country with towering masses of natually sculpted Rock.
Redrock canyons, crisp blue skies, and green juniper highlighted the fantastic views. Near the end of our drive, we were entertained by a few raptors soaring high above the canyon!
This was our second time visiting the Colorado National Monument, but, it is work visiting over and over again!
