Today was a long Driving Day. We pulled away from our campsite @ 10:30 AM and started our drive north. We drove through Flagstaff, Tuba City, and Kayenta. As we drove through the Indian Reservation, we had lots of opportunities to purchase Navajo Indian Jewelry, but, we resisted the urge to stop.
As we drove through Monument Valley, we passed several tour buses and many tourists stopping along the route to take pictures. We also stopped a few times to take pictures of the beautiful rock formations.
We always see some out of the ordinary things while traveling in our RV. Today we passed several “runners” carrying lit torches! My first reaction…”Don’t they know the fire danger is high?” Later we discovered that they were running in the “Peace Run”.
Our long day of driving ended at the Blue Mountain RV Park in Blanding, Utah.
Tomorrow…Grand Junction, CO
