I was wrong about not being able to sleep well on the first night of travel! One of us slept great with the constant hum of semi trucks on the highway. Unfortunately, it was me, not Ken!
We continued on I-10 E, stopping in Junction, TX for the night. We checked into the South Llano River RV Park. It was a nice, quiet park located along the Llano River.
The Llano River is a tributary of the Colorado River, approximately 105 miles long, in central Texas. As we walked along the river we discovered a walking path from the RV Park to South Llano River State Park. The 2,600-acre site, adjacent to the South Llano River, was donated to Texas Parks and Wildlife Department in 1977 and was opened to the public in 1990.
Walking through the park, we saw several boat launches, a dam, and discovered a Confederate Veterans Reunion Memorial Site.
Tomorrow – Some place in Texas
