We got a late start leaving Canton, TX, because we were talking with our RV neighbors. There were many topics to discuss; RVing, places to stay, places to go, new coaches, and Harley’s. Both, husband and wife, were former truck drivers and had seen the country through the windshield of their truck. Now, they are taking their time touring the country by RV. One of the things we love about the RV lifestyle is the opportunity to meet and talk with interesting people from all over the world. Yes, foreign tourists do come to the USA and use RV’s to see our country. Everyone has an interesting story to tell.
As we drove towards Austin, we could not find an RV park with a vacancy. We utilized all of our RV Park Tools; GPS, Woodall, Good Sam, RV Park Reviews, RV Parky, and found a small RV Park in Killen, TX. Cicada Springs RV Park was a small, renovated park in a lousy part of town. That is why it was gated! It was a nice park for an overnight stay, and… their Wifi worked great!
We ventured out of the park to Walmart for groceries. The traffic was heavy and the Walmart was the busiest we have encountered. The store was definitely ready for Valentines Day…100’s of balloons, heart shaped cookies, and cupcakes. Somehow, we managed to get out of the store without one Valentine item!
Tomorrow – Fredericksburg, Texas
