Emerald Beach RV Park in Navarre, FL is one of our favorite places to visit. There is nothing fancy about the RV park, but, it is a great place to relax. It is on the beautiful Santa Rosa Sound and just a quick drive across the bridge to the Gulf Beaches.
We always meet the nicest people at this RV park and this trip was no exception. We met a couple from Baton Rouge,LA that is interested in buying our RV! Awesome!
Navarre, FL is in the Florida Panhandle about 45 miles east of the Florida/Alabama border. The famous beach bar, Flora Bama, is on the state line. We decided to take a road trip and check out the Flora Bama. What we discovered was a Gulf-front oyster bar, beach bar and Gulf Coast cultural landmark, touted as America’s “last great roadhouse.” It was a big plywood looking barn with bar food and booze on a beautiful beach. We ordered up two beers and two Island Girl drinks and walked around the premises. It was a hot, humid day and it was the same in the bar. We walked across the street to the Flora Bama Ole River Grill for lunch. Even though it was an open air waterfront dining restaurant, the temperature was comfortable. We ordered two Fish Sandwich Baskets , one beer and a Bushwhacker for me! The food and drinks were yummy!
Our five days in Navarre were definitely relaxing…reading, swimming, and watching the waves!
