Branson, MO

On our drive towards Branson, MO, we stayed in Wichita Falls TX, Texarkana TX, and Little Rock AR.  All of these were just overnight stays with nothing exciting to see or do.

In LIttle Rock we stayed at the DT RV park located next to the Clinton Presidential Park Bridge. From our RV we could see the bridge beautifully illuminated at night.

We arrived in Branson and checked into the KOA for two nights. It was difficult to get RV reservations, so, we assumed it was going to busy with tourists.  We were surprised to find that many restaurants and shops were closed.  Again, we don’t know if it is the off-season (its still summer, right?) or the effects of the pandemic.

We had dinner at the original Outback Steakhouse and took a drive to Tablerock Lake to view the sunset.

I decided that we weren’t leaving Branson without seeing at least one show.  On Friday night, we were entertained by the beautiful horses, magnificent riders, live buffalo, and enjoyed a delicious meal.  The four course feast included creamy vegetable soup, homemade biscuit, whole rotisserie chicken, barbecued pork loin, corn cob, herb basted potato, and apple fritter for desert.   We enjoyed the delicious meal and wonderful show!

Returning to Branson is not something we are planning for in the near future, but, we might like to return during the busy tourist season when things are more active.

Up next- Ozarks!
