Back in the USA

9 Sep

We are back in the USA! We left Ft. Steele, BC this morning and drove to the Roosville crossing at the Canada/US border.  We were greeted by a very professional border agent. As soon as we stopped, he got right to the questions:  Where are you from?  Where have you been?  Do you make any Canadian purchases? How much money do you have?.  That was all!  Nothing about the food or liquor that we worried about during our entire trip.  In fact, we had apples left over that we purchased from a market and Ken had me throw them out the window before we got to the border.  The wildlife will love those apples!

US Border – Roosville, MT

After crossing the border into Montana, we continued driving south towards Missoula, Mt.  We passed through familiar territory since this was the same route we traveled in July.

We saw lots of campers, trailers and RV on the road today.  I decided that perhaps I should find an RV park and make a reservation for the night.  I was lucky and got the last available spot at JIm & Mary’s RV Park in Missoula, Mt.  When we checked in, there was a sign on the door…”We are full”.  I was definitely glad that I called this morning!

The rain started around 8PM and continued all night!

Tomorrow- Continuing south towards home
