When the temperature in Tempe, AZ consistently reaches 100 degrees…it is time to beat the heat and start On The Road Again!
We finished packing the RV and pulled away from our home at 3PM. We made a quick stop to Costco…we needed to pick up some snacks for the road! Our local Costco will probably miss us over the next few months, but, I’m sure we will find Costco stores along our route.
The I-10 traffic was bumper-to-bumper all the way through Phoenix. Once we made it to the I-17 towards Flagstaff, the traffic was much lighter. We drove 115 miles and arrived in Camp Verde at 6 PM. We were both tired from packing up the RV in the heat and fighting through the Phoenix Traffic. We decided to call it a day and parked our RV at the Distant Drum RV Park.
We are still unsure of our itinerary, but we will probably drive towards Moab, UT tomorrow.
