Good-bye West Yellowstone, MT

28 Sep

ICE

When we woke up this morning, it was a very cold 25 degrees! We knew it was supposed to be cold, because we found a message alerting us to a freeze warning and telling us to shut off our water. We didn’t think about checking for water on our slide toppers and consequently as we pulled in the slideouts on our RV, Ice fell off of the slide toppers.

By the time we departed West Yellowstone, it was 45 degrees and the sky was clear and blue. Our designated route was highway 20 to Idaho Falls, Id and then highway 30 to Montpelier, by-passing Bear Lake. Highway 16 took us to Evanston, WY and the Phillips RV Park for the night.

Phillips RV Park was a family owned RV park celebrating 80 years of operation. Over the past eight decades, the park has physically changed, but the family’s desire to stick together and create a lasting impression on their customers has not.
