A Christmas Adventure

17 Dec

After celebrating Christmas in AZ with our family, Ken and I packed up our motor home today to set off on a different kind of adventure…a Christmas Adventure!

Leslie and Gabe are expecting their third baby due December 28 (our wedding anniversary) and we are driving across country (again) to arrive in GA to meet the new arrival.

When we pulled away from our home, it was a beautiful sunny day, but the temperature was a chilly 48 degrees!  We stopped in Casa Grande for lunch and then continued on to Lordsburg, NM.  As we drove through AZ towards New Mexico, what to our wondering eyes should appear?  No, not Santa…snow on the sides of the road!  That was a little unexpected!

We settled into our KOA RV site in Lordsburg, NM.  We were quickly informed by our RV neighbor that it was 21 degrees last night!  That is colder than it was when we went to Alaska!

Tomorrow we will continue driving East and hopefully, we will get into some warmer temperatures!
